It’s a key role demanding a sharp news sense, dynamism, in-depth knowledge of media law and the ability to lead a team of reporters and news desk staff in Aberdeen and across our patch.

Management skills and extensive journalistic experience are a must for this demanding senior position, which shapes our daily news agenda.

The news editor is responsible for the news content of six distinct editions across a huge circulation area.

As a senior news eeporter, you will also play a key part in this process.

We are seeking an experienced reporter with a track record of breaking big exclusive stories and developing excellent contacts.

Based in Aberdeen, you will be at the sharp end of our operation, while helping to shape and influence our success.
