CLOSING DATE: February 10, 2017
CUMBRIA is serious about business – and so are we.
The county is home to some of the world’s biggest names including BAE, Pirelli, GSK and Kimberly-Clark and there’s billions of pounds of investment heading to the area through decommissioning and nuclear new build.
CN Group, based in Carlisle, has a rare opportunity for a talented recruit to take on the leadership of a team of committed multi-media journalists covering every aspect of this business world.
in-cumbria magazine is the county’s monthly business bible reaching key players across Cumbria and beyond. Its website has a growing audience and its daily newsletter has a click rate that proves it’s a must-read for anyone who wants to be in the know.
Our business team also provides the daily content that powers business sections in our print titles and their websites including the News & Star and the North West Evening Mail as well as The Cumberland News, Times & Star and The Whitehaven News.
And we’ve got great plans for in-cumbria’s sister website and newsletter inthebay serving the North Lancashire and Morecambe Bay area.
The team is also behind a growing number of business-focussed events and for 2017 we’ve got exciting initiatives to expand our services.
We need someone able to drive all these areas forward and ensure the team can deliver.
You’ll work with commercial colleagues to maximise the strength of our brands and develop contacts at all levels of business from multi-nationals to family firms and sole traders.
In addition to skills as a journalist and manager, we are looking for an individual at home in front of an audience, able to speak comfortably to groups both large and small.
A competitive package of pay and benefits is on offer to the right candidate and you’d get to live and work with some of the UK’s most beautiful locations on your doorstep.
