AN exciting opportunity has arisen for talented and self-motivated senior marketing executive to join the newspaper marketing team working on a range of DC Thomson titles, including The Courier, Evening Telegraph and Sunday Post, amongst others.
Reporting to the head of Marketing (newspapers), the ideal candidate will support the creation and implementation of brand and promotional marketing campaigns and activities as well use their experience to augment the current role and make it their own.
They will be aware of best practice and trends in direct mail, email marketing and social media channels while showing a flair for creative design and engaging content.
The department works with editorial, circulation and advertising on a regular basis to drive sales through promotional and brand marketing execution and it will be your task to ensure these campaigns are managed to the fullest potential.
It is expected that the successful candidate will be educated to degree level or equivalent in a marketing related subject, be able to demonstrate previous successful marketing campaigns and the ability to implement promotions with minimal supervision. It is also anticipated that you will have an organised approach, with good numeracy and writing/grammar skills.
This is a full-time position for 35 hours per week, working from our Meadowside office.
