DIGITAL AND PRINT REPORTER

ALREADY with newsroom experience, we’re looking for someone to help ensure our readers get the best stories and the most up-to-date news for their area across our digital and print platforms.

Working as part of a close-knit team and taking direction from the newsdesk, you will work accurately and creatively to tight deadlines. We don’t want you to be chained to your desk, so – armed with your state-of-the-art smartphone – you will be out and about bringing your stories to life. You will also be self-motivated and driven to source exclusive stories of a high standard.

TRAINEE REPORTER

DO you have aspirations of becoming a journalist? Well this could be the role for you.

We’re looking for someone with an inquisitive mind who loves getting to the bottom of stories. You should be full of ideas, have an eye for a good story and the ability to write entertaining and accurate copy.

The ideal candidate should be able to mix with people from all walks of life and make stacks of contacts across the North-east.

TRAINEE SPORT REPORTER

Aberdeen FC are challenging at the top of the Scottish Premiership and have made it to two cup finals – with the Scottish Cup final against Celtic just weeks away.

At a local leavel, our team has captured the drama of the Highland League and grassroots football as well as reporting on a range of other sports.

CRIME AND INVESTIGATIONS REPORTER

WE want an experienced and talented journalist with a track record of breaking exclusive stories.

The successful candidate will be a senior journalist with a reputation for uncovering the stories no one thought would get out. They will also be able to demonstrate their ability to spearhead our crime and investigations coverage.

They should be a self-starter who is ready to expand their wealth of contacts.  Whether it’s police officers, solicitors or court officials, we expect our crime and investigations reporter to have the best contacts to deliver the best stories.
