Media job: Trainee reporter, Evening Express

CLOSING DATE: December 22, 2017

THE North-east of Scotland is an exciting place to be right now. Work is under way to shape Aberdeen city centre for the next 20 years.

A £333 million scheme to create a 12,500-capacity concert venue, two hotels and an energy centre has been approved. And a City Region Deal from the UK and Scottish Governments will pump more than £250m into the North-east economy.

There is also a lively council – and equally lively sheriff court. All of which makes a great place to be a newspaper reporter with the Evening Express.

DO YOU have aspirations of becoming a journalist? Well this could be the role for you.

We’re looking for someone with an inquisitive mind who loves getting to the bottom of stories. You should be full of ideas, have an eye for a good story and the ability to write entertaining and accurate copy.

The ideal candidate should be able to mix with people from all walks of life and make stacks of contacts across the North-east.

To apply for this role, please follow our online application process and submit a CV and cover letter.
