CLYDE Weekly Press is seeking to appoint a chief reporter to help lead and drive forward its news operation online and in print on the Paisley and Renfrewshire Gazette and Barrhead News.

We are looking for someone with creativity, drive and a determination to play a leading role within our team of talented and enthusiastic journalists.

The successful candidate will have extensive experience of covering a wide range of tasks, including council, sheriff and preferably High Court reporting.

You should be highly-motivated and demonstrate a flexible approach to succeed in one of the country’s busiest and most rewarding news patches.

Based from our Glasgow office, you should also be keen to take on off-diary reporting and be able to demonstrate ideas to generate interesting and informative content for the titles.

Ideally fully-NCTJ qualified, with 100 wpm shorthand and a driving licence, applicants should be able to demonstrate a passion for the job, awareness of the circulation areas, along with the experience of how to manage, contribute to, and help develop online and social media strategy.
