THE Press and Journal, Scotland’s best-selling quality newspaper and the biggest regional daily title in the United Kingdom, is seeking a… SCOTTISH POLITICAL REPORTER.

Based in Edinburgh as our Scottish political reporter, you will provide coverage relevant to communities across the north and north-east of Scotland as well as providing insight and analysis on major Scottish political stories. You will be expected to dig up great exclusives from your extensive contacts among ministers, MSPs, civil servants and Scotland’s public bodies.

Key to this role will be being in tune with our readers’ needs and concerns across a wide and diverse area – we produce four editions across the north and north-east of Scotland, and a growing series of websites which require regular updating with breaking news.

Naturally, you will have a thirst for politics at all levels and display a good working knowledge of your specialist subject, both nationally and locally.

You must have extensive journalistic experience.
