THE post of digital engagement and publications co-ordinator blends online communications (web content management, social media, media relations, digital campaigns and marketing) with supporting and developing GTC Scotland publications both hard copy and online.
The post also provides wider communications support (media relations) to GTC Scotland, helping to deliver our key messages to our full range of stakeholders and staff.
An important aspect of the role is managing the day-to-day responsibilities of producing GTC Scotland’s flagship magazine, Teaching Scotland, which issues to 76,000 teachers and stakeholders. With the decline in media coverage of education issues, the publication of this print magazine is more important than ever. The post holder will play a key role in ensuring the magazine is lively and engaging, and published to a high standard.
The post sits within the Corporate Services (CS) department and the post holder will be expected to contribute to the overall work of the department. The director of Corporate Services will manage the performance review process for this post in conjunction with the communications manager.
