DC Thomson Media is seeking a talented broadcaster and journalist to become part of our brilliant radio news team in Dundee.

As deputy head of news, you will support our head of news in leading our team of reporters and newsreaders across our three stations – Original 106, Wave FM and Kingdom FM.

You will be an expert on regulatory, legal and moral issues related to broadcast news – with an in-depth knowledge of Ofcom guidelines.

You will also have experience of working in a broadcast journalism environment, along with a keen eye for a story and the ability to work to short deadlines. A qualification relevant to the role, and a driving licence, are also desirable.

The ideal candidate will also have excellent presentation skills, as you will be expected to become one of our main voices on air, reading news bulletins for our three stations up to seven days a week.

There will also be opportunities to work alongside the award-winning news teams throughout DC Thomson, who create some of the most successful newspapers and websites in the UK.
