Media job: Assistant news editor, Evening Telegraph

DO you want to be a key part of the team that drives the news agenda at one of the country’s most successful evening news titles?

If so, an excellent opportunity has arisen to be a part of the Evening Telegraph’s news desk set-up to help deliver the best possible content to residents in the city of Dundee and beyond.

You should be an all-rounder who can help shape, develop and drive both our print and digital operations.

As an experienced journalist, you must be prepared to support our senior editorial team in leading the Tele’s extremely talented crop of reporters.

You will have experience working in print but also be open to digital developments, with experience of putting together video and audio packages an added bonus.

This is a great opportunity to develop and thrive in one of the UK’s most exciting newsrooms.

Requirements:

* Experience of working in a fast-paced newsroom;

* Sound knowledge of journalism law;

* An excellent news sense;

* Ability to work to a high level under pressure; and

* Previous experience managing a team of journalists would be beneficial but not essential.
