News reporter, Media Scotland

MEDIA Scotland Ltd is on the hunt for a front line reporter to join our busy news department.

You will be required to break exclusive stories and provide compelling, accurate coverage of breaking news stories for the Daily Record and Sunday Mail, as well as writing directly for our digital products across a seven-days-a-week publishing operation.

You must be a sharp writer with the ability to turn complicated facts and events into easy-to-read, informative, well-written stories and news features. You should also have endless energy and ideas for high-quality, creative and reliable content and be able to meet strict deadlines in a fast paced environment.

You should have a sound knowledge of current affairs, particularly within Scotland, be willing to work unconventional hours and travel at short notice.

You will have at least one year’s news reporting experience, an understanding of social media and preferably, a journalism degree.
