With around 2,000 employees, the Student Loans Company provides financial services to over one million students annually in colleges and universities across the nation, supporting them and giving them the expert financial advice they need as they plan for the future.

Accomplished at handling national media, you’ll proactively promote news of our successes and inspire stakeholders with confidence. An exhilarating challenge, this key role will see you developing media handling plans on a range of issues relating to student loan applications and repayments across the EU, briefing journalists and putting together media statements. You’ll also be experienced in writing press releases and handling enquiries, and be able to provide media training for staff as required.
You’ll need:
* Education to degree level or equivalent
* Experience of issues management and media handling
* Proven talent for strategic thinking
* Ability to plan, structure information and deliver results
* Cool head under pressure
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills
* Flair for networking
* Ideally, a PR qualification
