ITV News Border is in an exciting expansion phase and is launching a new service of current affairs and political programmes for ITV Border Scotland.
We have a fantastic opportunity to join the ITV News Border team as a video editor
We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic VT Editor with excellent attention to detail to ensure that all edits are carried out to the highest creative and technical standards possible.
You will edit any programme material required for our current affairs programmes with flair, working efficiently as part of our production team. You will provide operational and creative support to programme staff and have the ability to work collaboratively with Producers, Reporters and Researchers. You will have a thorough understanding of all aspects of editing and a broad knowledge of editing equipment including mixers, sound mixers, DVE and graphics.
You will be able to remain calm under pressure and be able to effectively assess and prioritise timescales required for edit projects and have the ability to execute tasks within tight timeframes.
We are looking for a self-starter who can work on their own initiative, who is able to problem solve and come up with good editing solutions. You must have a proven track record of having worked within a live television environment and experience of Avid is essential.
