Communications Officer – Salary: £37,010 – £40,999 – Working pattern: 12-month maternity cover, full-time (flexible working may be considered) – Location: 110 George Street, Edinburgh, EH2 4LH  – Closing date: Sunday 19 January 2014 (midnight)

AN opportunity for an experienced communications officer to join our dynamic and prestigious communications team, for 12 months, providing maternity cover.

About the role

With an ability to communicate clearly and confidently, you will challenge and direct our internal communications processes and delivery. Working at all levels across the organisation, you will be instrumental in the development and co-ordination of our internal communications strategy,

Reporting to the communications manager and working with other colleagues in the communications team, you will be involved in a number of projects and initiatives throughout 2014, and will have a fantastic opportunity to play a significant role in ensuring their success.

About you

You will bring exceptional writing skills, flair, flexibility and creativity. Confident, pro-active and professional, the successful candidate will possess excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to develop effective working relationships. Supremely well organised, you will be able to work at pace and use your initiative.

You will have

A recognised qualification in public relations or internal communications and/or considerable experience in these areas from a similar role in the public or private sector.

An interest in and experience of social media, preferably in a corporate internal or external communications context.

A strong interest in the work of Audit Scotland and in current affairs generally.
