Media Job: Trainee news reporter – The Press and Journal

CLOSING DATE: July 18, 2014

THE successful candidate will be enthusiastic, determined and have a natural aptitude for news gathering. He or she will have relevant media training and, ideally, some working experience in the industry. Further training will be provided.

Based in Aberdeen, the successful candidate will be part of a team of reporters covering Aberdeen or the surrounding area.

This is a challenging role in one of our busiest areas. The Press and Journal produces six editions across the north and north-east of Scotland, six days a week. You will eventually be able to tackle a wide range of local and general Scottish stories. It is essential that you build extensive contacts and produce regular off-diary stories. A full driving licence is essential.
