£21,796 to £25,035 pro-rata

THIRD Force News (TFN) is Scotland’s publication for the charity and voluntary sector. It is published by the Scottish Council for Voluntary Organisations (SCVO) and its team of reporters is based within SCVO’s public affairs division.

TFN consists of a weekly print newspaper, a website updated with breaking news throughout the day, a series of specialist ebulletins and twice weekly roundup ebulletins, and social media channels. The post holder will have responsibility for TFN’s social media channels, primarily Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn, as well as supporting the team with management of the website.

TFN is looking for a digital communications enthusiast with experience of using social media channels for promotion and engagement, knowledge of web content management systems and an interest in new digital communications tools. This post holder will support a busy editorial team and work closely with TFN’s editor to monitor the impact of stories online and through social media. This busy and varied post is ideal for someone with an interest in current affairs and the work of Scottish charities.
