ROMANES Media Group has an exciting opportunity for a trainee features writer to join our talented and friendly team based in Clydebank.
The role will entail working on advertising features and supplements for the company`s portfolio of regional newspapers and special publications, providing interesting and informative content on a diverse range of subjects which engage our audience and meet the needs of our advertisers.
The successful candidate will have completed a journalism qualification or English degree and must have a current driving licence and access to a car. They must also possess good writing ability, speed and accuracy and the confidence to work under pressure whilst working to strict publication deadlines.
The role is suited to a self-starter, strong on initiative and well organised with the confidence to liaise with internal and external customers in a confident and timely manner.
The ability to generate feature ideas and offer suggestions to assist the sales team is also an essential aspect of the role.
Experience of Adobe InDesign and InCopy would be advantageous as there will be a requirement to occasionally edit pages, however, training will be provided.
