BOYS and Girls from Inverness and nearby areas who have that extra special star quality are being encouraged to come along to Eden Court in Inverness and audition for the Christmas pantomime!

This year’s spectacular show will be an adaptation of the much loved JM Barrie classic, Peter Pan, and Eden Court are hoping for some talented youngsters to join the cast.

This year in addition to the Junior Chorus, which is open to both boys and girls, Eden Court are looking for boys to play the roles of John and Michael, who fly off with Peter Pan for adventures in Neverland.

Steve Boden, from Imagine Theatre, who produce the pantomime at Eden Court, says: “We are really excited to be doing our first ever Peter Pan at Eden Court.

“As with the panto every year we need boys and girls for the Junior Chorus, but this year we also need to fill the roles of Wendy’s two younger brothers, John and Michael.

“The roles of John and Michael are quite large roles as they have quite a lot of lines in the show and of course they are involved with the fights against the evil pirates, headed by the dastardly Captain Hook, so we are looking for some very talented children to play these characters.”

Auditions for both John and Michael and the Junior Chorus are open to children between the ages of nine and sixteen and are taking place at Eden Court on Sun 23 Aug ’15, at 09.30 for 10.00 start.

For those auditioning for the roles of John and Michael it is requested that application forms be sent to Producers Imagine Theatre in advance, but for those auditioning for the Junior Chorus they are asked to just bring completed forms with them on the day.

More information on the auditions and application forms can be found at www.imaginetheatre.co.uk/Productions/2015-Peter-Pan-Inverness.aspx

Steve adds: “The open audition for the children is a great way of getting the local community involved in the production and auditioning youngsters for the panto is always a lot of fun, but also a real challenge as we see so much talent!

“We are proud of the fact we are able to offer all local children the opportunity to perform in a professional production as they can learn such a lot from the experience.”
