A LEADING international reservoir engineering and business management consultancy will be sharing its expertise in ‘unconventional play services’ during a specialist trade exhibition in America.

Oilgen, which has offices in Aberdeen and Houston, and provides technical and business management services using its core historical expertise in reservoir engineering, will showcase at the UrTEC Exhibition, taking place in San Antonio on July 20-22.

The company, which has a team of 15 multi-discipline petroleum engineering and development consultants and is rapidly expanding, has also recently made a key appointment in Houston to strengthen its services internationally.

Reservoir engineer, Theodores Sketopoulos, 27, has been appointed as USA business development VP. In his role, Mr Sketopoulos will promote Oilgen’s specialist services in reservoir engineering, business advisory and unconventional play services.

During the UrTec exhibition, Oilgen will share its expertise on specialist play services including shale play benchmark and strategic studies, development planning, reservoir simulation, and reserves evaluations.

Managing director of Oilgen, Laurent Schirrer, said: “Since 2011, Oilgen has carried out research into the reservoir simulation of shale oil and gas.

“We cannot ignore that unconventional plays have changed the way our hydrocarbons are produced over the world and have changed the economics of the whole sector.

“We have reason to believe unconventional reserves are becoming a stable and environmentally sustainable source of hydrocarbons for the future.

“Our interest is to help clients improve their profitable production, as gains in efficiency have become the drive for unconventional operators.

“At Oilgen, we tailor our services to adapt to each client to ensure they are offered the best possible service, and our presence at the show will allow us to explain our processes to industry specialists.”

Oilgen will be exhibiting at the UrTec Exhbition in San Antonio on 20-22 July on stand 321. The company has a number of free passes available for the show. To get invited, please email info@oilgen.com.

Oilgen also has a co-working agreement with US-based, Expert Energy Solutions LLC (EES), to share knowledge and resources in the field of Enhanced Oil Recovery (EOR).

The association, integrating the complementary skills of the two companies, offers clients a full range of specialist services including EOR screening, evaluation, and implementation; field health checks, evaluations, numerical simulation of petroleum reservoirs and reserves; and acquisition and divestiture projects with strong technical input.
