THERE’S an extra feel-good factor for customers visiting Starbucks in the brand new Village Urban Resort Glasgow hotel.

Caring staff at this recently-opened coffee shop have selected Epilepsy Scotland as its charity partner for the year.

Over the next 12 months, this team of baristas will take part in an array of fundraising activities for Epilepsy Scotland both in store and through the charity’s regular events.

Starbucks Glasgow branch manager, Dan Rafferty, said: “It’s a pleasure to be able to help raise funds and awareness for Epilepsy Scotland. The whole team at Starbucks in the Village Urban Resort Glasgow are looking forward to the year ahead where we can work together and hopefully raise lots of money for the charity.”

Epilepsy Scotland’s chief executive, Lesslie Young, explained: “We value the support of this community-minded Starbucks team, and it clearly demonstrates their ethos of putting corporate social responsibility into action.

“While our offices are near Pacific Quay, which practically makes us neighbours, the fact is making us a charity partner is more than a neighbourly gesture.

“Over the next 12 months, this Starbucks team will not only be telling others about the amazing work Epilepsy Scotland does but the funds they raise will make a direct investment into the lives of people with epilepsy.”
