A LEADING international provider of electrical products and services has marked a significant milestone in its relationship with a key supplier.
In the past 12 months, Aberdeen-based AEL has spent over £1 million with ABB, further consolidating its relationship with an AEL Premier Partner, a group of carefully selected suppliers who help ensure AEL customers have access to the best and widest range of products.
AEL – which will celebrate its 35th anniversary next year – is an international brand providing electrical products and services to the onshore, offshore, renewable, petrochemical, marine and industrial sectors.
From the company’s headquarters in Aberdeen, the family run business has experienced steady organic growth in many overseas markets and now operates from a network of carefully-selected locations in the USA, Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan as well as Aberdeen and Ghana.
Commenting on the relationship between the two companies, AEL business development manager, Lee Hart, said: “Our Premier Partner relationships ensure ongoing development of the close working practices which are so important in ensuring high levels of technical knowledge and support.
“Our successful alliance with ABB is a good example of what can be achieved for the benefit of companies and customers alike.
“We will also be showcasing products from Hazloc Heaters, Eldon Electric and HellermannTyton at Offshore Europe and we look forward to sharing our Premier Partner products throughout the event.”
Operations director, Alan Mackie, added: “During times of market uncertainty, it is important to consolidate important working relationships and we are working hard to strengthen our links with Premier Partner organisations as well as maintaining a solid, reliable AEL workforce to deliver on time, every time.”
A spokesperson for ABB said: “ABB’s Strategic Industrial Partnership is a nationwide network of distributors committed to providing their customers with an unparalleled level of service and support for ABB’s low-voltage products.
“Each partner has the know-how to advise on all technical, commercial and logistical matters and can support ABB’s full range of industrial low voltage products available in the UK market.
“The network is currently made up of 30 partner locations strategically situated around the UK to ensure that the products and support are always available locally.”
