ABERDEEN-based Granite PR is preparing to lead a delegation of business representatives on a fact-finding mission to the U.S.
Building on the success of the popular annual Aberdeen-Houston Gateway event, the October delegation will give UK-based companies the chance to investigate or grow U.S. business interests thanks to a week-long visit to fellow energy hub, Houston.
The Aberdeen-Houston Gateway itself has already evolved from a single, half-day event to a week-long series, and this latest addition to the event portfolio is seen as an another important step in further strengthening links between the sister cities.
During their trip, delegates will benefit from a range of company visits and one-to-one meetings which will enhance the knowledge sharing ethos of the Aberdeen-Houston Gateway.
Commenting on plans for the Houston trip, Granite PR managing director and Aberdeen-Houston Gateway event creator, Brett Jackson, said: “Since the inaugural Aberdeen-Houston Gateway three years ago, we have seen a steady growth in appetite for learning opportunities on both sides of the Atlantic, and the significant expansion of this year’s event is a clear indication of the thirst for knowledge.
“For any company seeking to establish or grow its presence in Houston, this trip will offer a valuable insight into many facets of doing business in Texas and we look forward to sharing our experiences and those of our U.S. associates with visitors from Scotland.”
