PublicRelationsToUse

FUNDING is urgently required to cover the costs of an aid convoy leaving Edinburgh on Thursday 24th – heading to refugee camps at the Serbian/Croatian border.

All funds – for the convoy being run by Edinburgh Cares – will go towards transport costs and to buying food, water and other supplies in Croatia to bring immediate relief to men, women and children without relief or shelter

A donation of £1,000 will sponsor a van or donate £500/£100/£50/ £20 or any amount you can afford.

Donations can be made online at https://www.justgiving.com/AidForSerbia

To donate in person, volunteer or for more info contact Shahid on 07980 701 479 OR Akeel on 0794 747 3442

Note for editors:

There will be a photocall as the convoy departs from Unit 10, Thistle Business Park, Broxburn, EH52 5AS at 10am on Thursday morning. This project is entirely not-for-profit and all money raised will go directly towards providing aid for those living in refugee camps across Europe.

Edinburgh Cares is a collaboration between volunteers at Calaid Edinburgh and Annandale Street Mosque collecting urgently needed donations for those living in refugee camps across central Europe. We believe that no person should be without access to basic human rights like shelter and warmth, and by collecting donations we can work to improve these conditions.
