AS it continues to seek cost-effective solutions, Aberdeenshire-based Paradigm Flow Services recently introduced its revolutionary Dry-Flo dry deluge system testing technology to the market and it has already been called into action in both onshore and offshore settings by a range of clients, including two of the largest operators on the UKCS.

Begins a spokesperson: “This demand has resulted in the investment in a second unit to satisfy the exceptional demand.

“The system – which achieved DNV GL certification earlier in the year – offers significant advantages over traditional wet testing methods including the need for fewer personnel, improved job rig-up and completion times.

“Mitigating the need to cover and protect electrical equipment provides additional benefits. Dry-Flo can be used for all hazardous zoned areas while the deluge system is live.

“Using Dry-Flo also reduces potential impact on production and the risk of accidental shutdown due to seawater ingress by offering a cost-effective system which removes problems traditionally experienced with conventional wet testing for deluge systems.”

Commenting on the ongoing success of Dry-Flo, Paradigm Flow Services managing director, Rob Bain, said: “We are delighted with how warmly our innovative addition to the product portfolio has been received by the market and its success is undoubtedly chiefly driven by its ability to provide value by reducing costs.

“We are now looking forward to 2016 when we will present our technology at Topsides UK in March and offer a case study on recent deployments for the benefit of attendees.”

He added: “The DNV qualification process stated that this system provides empirical evidence that deluge systems remain compliant which has attracted interest from across the globe. We are currently building a second Dry-Flo unit, which will be NORSOC compliant for the Norwegian sector, and to fulfil the demand we are experiencing.”
