A LEADING, award-winning North-east butchery firm has provided a significant boost to a local festive project to help those in need.
Davidsons Specialist Butchers – which operates from prime locations in Aberdeen and Inverurie, Aberdeenshire – is one of a number of Garioch businesses which have thrown their support behind a project to provide less fortunate families with a Christmas meal.
Spearheaded by Inverurie group Monday Motivation and life coach Theresa Day, the project aims to provide festive fayre for those in need by donations and fundraising.
And the campaign took a leap forward when John Davidson of Davidsons Specialist Butchers offered ten complete meal packages which will be distributed as part of the project.
John Davidson said: “We were delighted to be one of the businesses approached to take part in this very worthwhile project and are pleased that we could do something practical to help those in need.
“We hope that others will be inspired to jump on board too and do their best for those less fortunate this Christmas.”
Theresa Day added: “The community as a whole has been very supportive and we have received many donations from local shops.
“We are very grateful to all the businesses who are supporting us, including Davidsons Specialist Butchers, and hope that our efforts will bring some festive cheer to those who receive food from us.”
