HRH The Princess Royal will open Scotland’s Boat Show 2016 at Kip Marina, Inverkip, on Friday 14th of October as part of the show’s 30th anniversary celebrations – Holt Leisure Group are delighted and honoured to announce.
During the opening ceremony Her Royal Highness will unveil a plaque to mark the occasion, after which she will have the opportunity to view some of the 120 boats on display, tour the exhibitions and see on the water demonstrations including the wheelchair-accessible Wheely Boat.
Holt Leisure and Kip Marina managing director, Gavin McDonagh, said: “We are absolutely delighted to be welcoming Her Royal Highness The Princess Royal. This is an excellent reward for the staff as they put such an effort into making the boat show such a success.
“It is great recognition for the show and the fact that we have grown it from a small, second-hand boat show to the largest of its kind in Scotland, attracting visitors from all over the UK.”
Scotland’s Boat Show is the largest boat show in the country and the largest brokerage (pre-owned) show in the United Kingdom with 16,000 visitors last year.
