ITS team of photographers have captured images of some colourful characters down the years, from mighty Mike Tyson in his pomp to Usain Bolt, Lionel Messi and even our very own Trainspotting guys when they were fresh-faced newcomers on the big screen.
Now one of Scotland’s largest photographic agencies, SNS Group, has undergone a colour change of its own as part of a rebranding exercise.
The agency – set up by owner, Jim McCann, in 1988 – has been part of the media landscape for nearly three decades now after originally being set up to service national newspapers with stories and pictures.
Down the years, the agency has covered headline news such as the Dunblane shooting, the Lockerbie bombing and the Piper Alpha oil disaster.
In more recent times, however, the agency has become synonymous for its photographic coverage of sport and has trained lenses on football and eugby World Cups, Open Golf championships, Andy Murray’s title triumphs at Wimbledon and the 2014 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow.
Whilst its photographers have grabbed the headlines, SNS as a whole has steadily embraced the digital world and now offers clients integrated services, including digital and print design, photography, videography and animation services.
Said Jim McCann: “I believe our success and longevity has been achieved by bringing together talented people with a burning desire to succeed. Hopefully, there has been a little bit of vision in there as well.
“It’s funny to look back now and realise the company was formed pre-internet days! That seems a lifetime ago.
“In spite of our changes, we remain true to our roots and stills photography will always be a huge part of our service for media and online clients.
“But the world is such a fast moving place with 24-7 news online and social media booming. We recognise this and the first-class works of our creative team has allowed us to make a valuable contribution to this boom.
“Our rebranding is a symbol of this digital revolution. We are a bright, modern and dynamic brand with a tonne of local talent and experience.”
