TWO of Edinburgh’s boutique fitness studios, PedalHouse and Hot Yoga Edinburgh, are collaborating to deliver an urban triathlon on Saturday 18 March.
The event is a relaxed and non-competitive combination of some stripped-back and cycling-inspired spinning at PedalHouse, a choice of a 3k or 5k run through the back lanes and wynds of Edinburgh’s New Town followed by hot yoga in Hot Yoga Edinburgh.
Urban triathlons are becoming increasingly popular as a way to mix up fitness training and build endurance and stamina in a fun and dynamic group event.
It is already a sell-out with a wait list but there are plans to host another one later in the year for those who have missed out.
Notes to editors:
PedalHouse brings the best in indoor cycling fitness classes to Edinburgh in a cool studio with an edgy clubby vibe and motivational instructors.
With 20 years of experience in spinning, one of the most enduring fitness trends, PedalHouse, delivers cycling inspired training that will help all levels to build fitness, burn calories and smash goals.
Based at Canonmills with parking and showers, there are classes six days a week to choose from.
About Hot Yoga Edinburgh
Hot Yoga Edinburgh is a newly-opened, custom-built yoga studio based at 2 Ladyfield, right next to the EICC in the city centre, and offers a range of yoga classes held in a heated studio.
During the day the temperature is 26-28C and in the evenings 35-37C.
The ‘warm daytime classes’ allow the muscles to relax without leaving students too tired and sluggish for the rest of the day.
The ‘hot evening classes’ increase the cardio workout and cause the body to sweat more, leaving you feeling relaxed.
Classes run seven days per week and are suitable for all levels, from beginner to advanced.
The studio has male and female changing rooms with showers.
