STV Player has announced it is now available for consumers on Roku® streaming players in the United Kingdom.

Consumers using a Roku streaming player within STV’s licence area in Scotland will be able to live stream and catch-up on STV’s extensive range of content, including Broadchurch, the best-watched drama on STV in the past decade, popular soaps Emmerdale and Coronation Street, and hit entertainment shows such as The Voice and Britain’s Got Talent.

Roku streaming player users in other UK licence regions will be able to live stream STV Glasgow and STV Edinburgh and catch-up on original STV Player content, such as classic Taggart and Rebus, along with STV’s flagship news and current affairs coverage.

Rémi Brunier, STV Player product owner, said: “Roku streaming players are a fantastic addition to our growing portfolio of platforms as we seek to make STV content available free of charge to viewers anywhere, anytime.

“We’re pleased to offer Roku’s customers another way to watch STV programmes, whether live or on-demand.”

Ed Lee, vice-president, content acquisition, at Roku, added: “We always strive to offer the widest possible content selection to our customers. Adding STV Player to the Roku Channel Store will make our streaming players even more appealing to Scottish consumers.”
