BUSINESS for Scotland will launch its EU single market declaration tomorrow (Wednesday, May 24), in Aberdeen, calling on all political parties to back protection of Scotland’s single market membership.
The full declaration states:
“We believe that membership of the single market is vital for Scottish businesses, jobs, prosperity and economic growth.
We call on all political parties to back protection of Scotland’s single market membership, the opportunities for investment, skills and trade that it offers businesses like ours and the wider benefits to Scotland’s economy.”
Erikka Askeland, business editor of The Press and Journal, will chair the event, while Aberdeen business owners and senior managers will be signing the EU declaration.
Speakers: Bill Rodger of the European Movement in Scotland, ex Conservative MEP John Purvis and BfS founder and CEO Gordon MacIntyre-Kemp.
