PublicRelationsToUse

STV Productions has received its biggest-ever commission from the BBC, producing a further four series of the long-running hit show, Antiques Road Trip, for BBC One and a seventh series of Celebrity Antiques Road Trip for BBC Two.

Series 15-18 of Antiques Road Trip (80 x 45′) are now in production and will air over two years.

The series follows the country’s top antiques experts as they battle it out in a search for quirky and valuable antiques to auction off for profit, with all profit going to Children in Need.

The experts pair up for a scenic road trip through the British countryside, visiting antiques shops and local areas of interest while exploring the country’s rich historical and cultural heritage.

STV Productions is also filming 20 x 60′ new episodes of Celebrity Antiques Road Trip with a brand new line-up of celebrity antique hunters, featuring Ricky Tomlinson, Stephen Tompkinson, Hayley Mills, Pam Ayres, Brian Conley, Chesney Hawkes and Debbie McGee.

Liam Hamilton, deputy director of content at STV Productions, said: “It’s fantastic to be back on the road to produce another two years’ worth of episodes of Antiques Road Trip and its celebrity version. The successful format continues to entertain as our experts and celebrity antiquers search high and low for weird and wonderful items to sell at auction.”

Series 14 of Antiques Road Trip, which aired in January 2017, reached over 16 million people across the UK.

Antiques Road Trip remains the best watched show in the Hobbies / Leisure category on BBC One and is one of the channel’s most successful daytime programmes this year (source: BARB 2017).
