PublicRelationsToUse

THE best of Scottish journalism is being celebrated, with the announcement of the shortlist for the 39th Scottish Press Awards.

The shortlist excludes Journalist of the Year, sponsored by The BIG Partnership, and Newspaper of the Year, sponsored by Scottish Newspaper Society. The winner of each these awards will be announced on the night of the ceremony, on Thursday 26th April, 2018, at the DoubleTree by Hilton Glasgow Central.

The Weekly Newspaper of the Year nominees will be announced later this week.

Austin Lafferty, chair of the judging panel, said: “This year, yet again the standard, quality and excellence of Scottish newspaper output defies the downward trend of press sales. Brilliant writers and content made our job as judges a tough one. We continue a proud tradition of superb journalism.”
