STV Productions has secured a further BBC drama commission. Based on the award-winning, best-selling novel, Elizabeth is Missing, combines a gripping mystery with a tender yet unflinching exploration of one woman’s struggle with dementia.
Elizabeth is Missing is an one x 90’ drama written by Andrea Gibb (Swallows and Amazons), adapted from Emma Healey’s novel. Executive producers are Sarah Brown and Andrea Gibb for STV Productions and Elizabeth Kilgarriff and Gaynor Holmes for BBC One.
In August last year, it was confirmed that STV Productions had been commissioned to produce four-part series, The Victim, also for BBC One. The series is scheduled for delivery later this year.

We hope that TV audiences will be just as enthralled and moved by Andrea Gibb’s sensitive adaptation, as they have been by Emma’s extraordinary novel – we are truly honored to have been given the opportunity to bring it to the screen.”
Information on the cast and details of the drama’s broadcast will be announced in due course.
Elizabeth is Missing has been commissioned by Piers Wenger, controller of BBC Drama, and Charlotte Moore, Director of BBC Content.
