CENTRAL FM is delighted to announce the appointment of Ann Marie Millar to the position of commercial manager for Central FM beginning, in July of this year.

Ann Marie has had a long-standing relationship with Central FM having worked there previously when the station was owned by Local Radio Partnership; however, in 2011, she was lured to one of the top positions at Bauer Radio’s charity, Cash for Kids, where – under her stewardship – its annual revenues soared to over £4 million PA.

Ann Marie said: “I thrive on a challenge and loved my time at Central FM previously and cannot wait to get back into the station I have so much passion and energy for.”

Ann Marie will report into the management company, New Wave Media, which was appointed to oversee the radio station’s day-to-day operations in 2014.

CEO of New Wave Media, Adam Findlay, said: “Ann Marie and I have had a long-standing friendship and I have huge admiration for what she has achieved in radio not least the success she achieved at the Bauer Charity. She is leaving on a real high and joins Central FM at an exciting point of expansion.”

She replaces Jan Longmuir, who plans to retire in May of this year.

John Quinn, chair of the radio station, said: “Wee wish Jan a long and happy retirement she has been such a crucial, loyal and enthusiastic member of the station team – she will be missed. I wish Ann Marie a very warm Central FM welcome and know her and Adam will work closely together on what is set to be a very exciting future.”

Last month, the station announced the appointment of radio veteran, Norman Quirk, to the board, and in 2017 launched three new digital stations: Central FM Gold, Central FM Country and Central FM Chart.
