Media release: PAMCo releases second set of industry readership data

PAMCo

THE Published Audience Measurement Company (PAMCo), has released the latest cross-platform audience readership figures, showing that 89 per cent of British adults consume magazines and newsbrands content across a month. The data covers the period April 2017 to March 2018, (incorporating February 2018 comScore data).

PAMCo, which in April lauched the industry’s new audience measurement currency, PAMCo – Audience Measurement for Publishers, offers publishers and advertisers access to the very latest in transparent audience measurement.

The new data currency, now only in its second quarter, allows users to look at audience delivery across ALL publisher platforms – phone, tablet, desktop and print, and also delivers fresh insights into reader habits, including readers’ levels of engagement and trust.

Simon Redican, chief executive of PAMCo, said: “The new PAMCo data has been widely welcomed by the industry with the currency offering a wealth of new insights for publishers and advertisers. Not least of which is the ability of PAMCo to monitor the levels of trust and engement of readers across print brands.

“In a market where trust continues to be a valuable commodity, being able to measure and track that trust on behalf of our publishers gives them a further trading currency on which to monitise their content as well as illustrating the high levels of trust from readers in established brands.”

The data collected on trust and engagement for print publications shows the high levels of trust readers place in established publishing brands, with 78% per cent of readers saying they trust what they read in these brands

This level of insight was not previously available to publishers and advertisers and unlocks the huge audiences consuming publisher content, opening up many new opportunities to plan and trade audiences.

The published media industry is the first medium to be able to measure audiences across all platforms.
