A DIVERSE range of clients and evolving communications briefs has prompted Weber Shandwick to recruit seven new hires to support business growth.

Weber Shandwick has welcomed three new account managers – Jamie Bannerman, Lorna Irvine and Laura Hamilton – to its client teams in Aberdeen and Edinburgh, as well as Catriona Timoney who has joined the business as an associate in the Edinburgh office.

Additionally, for the third consecutive year, Weber Shandwick has invested in its apprenticeship programme with three new recruits joining the business in Scotland – Anna Longton, Amy Moore and Iain Hall.

Moray Macdonald, managing director of Weber Shandwick in Scotland, said: “The last 12 months has been transformational for our business in Scotland and we’re immensely proud of the breadth of skills across the team and the scope of business we are now winning.

“By bringing in talented team members with a range of different skills and backgrounds we have been able to challenge competitor agencies spanning advertising, creative and digital.

“In recent months, we have executed integrated marketing campaigns for new clients, as well as leading on rebranding, website design and build, SEO and digital marketing, and strategy sessions while continuing our long established roles in public affairs, media relations and PR.

“With each new hire comes a range of skills, knowledge and industry experience from varied backgrounds and I am really looking forward to seeing the positive impact this will have on our business.”

The earlier appointment of an associate planning director and creative director has helped Weber Shandwick strengthen its response to complex client briefs in a number of ways including audience insight and analysis, strategic planning, defining tone of voice, brand representation and a definitive overarching creative direction across all platforms.

Moray Macdonald continued: “Our business is evolving as we continue to respond to our clients’ need for marketing and communications plans to be aligned with their business strategy, integrated across all channels and managed effortlessly from one place. With our expanding team, we are in a perfect position to provide this.”

Weber Shandwick is currently recruiting for an eighth new recruit to join its Glasgow team as an account manager.
