TECHNICAL marketing agency, Yard, has hired Andragogy to provide an innovative AI-based training experience, which will deliver sustained, accredited learning for staff and increased transparency for clients.

The partnership will result in Yard being in the unique position of having all staff that are involved in the delivery of client work owning or working towards the prestigious Certified Digital Marketing Professional qualification, accredited by the Digital Marketing Institute.

Furthermore, Yard will become one of the first UK agencies to provide complete transparency to clients regarding staff training levels.

With offices in Edinburgh, London and Cardiff, Yard are proud to be part of the thriving tech scene across three capital cities. The collaboration between Yard and Andragogy, also based in Edinburgh, will enable both companies to stay at the forefront of the digital industry.

Yard were drawn to Andragogy’s unique approach to training, which ensures that digital performance will continually improve. Clients of Yard will be able to access details of the current skill levels held within the organisation, measured objectively by Andragogy.

Andragogy’s name is taken from the term that refers to the science of understanding and supporting lifelong education of adults. Andragogy’s innovative proposition supports this definition by offering fully-managed digital learning programmes that aim to challenge, educate and empower marketing professionals.

Founded by digital marketing agency veterans, Andragogy use software that provides a detailed map of individual and workforce skills profiles, combining this with digital marketing course modules delivered online and offline by subject matter experts. Thanks to AI-based technology, the Andragogy programme embeds learning and is able to establish if key knowledge is being retained.

Speaking of their approach, Sarah Curds, a director at Andragogy, said: “As digital marketers, leaders and trainers, we found it was impossible to invest in training and feel certain this was making a real difference to both project and business performance. We’ve combined our experience of what works for digital marketers, and added some artificial intelligence, to create a learning solution that works for brands and agencies.”

Yard’s investment in their workforce through this innovative training programme adds to what has been a hugely successful 2018 for the company.

At this year’s Drum Search Awards, Yard won the award for ‘Best Use of Content’ for the Art of Luxury Watchmaking campaign for ROX.

The agency has also experienced a raft of new client wins, including: Nivea, Schroders, DC Thomson, Watermans, Informa Exhibitions, Trailfinders and a global airline based in the Middle East.

Close and transparent client relationships underline Yard’s philosophy, and the Andragogy programme will help to ensure that clients gain an insight into Yard’s internal development and training.

Richard Falconer, managing director of Yard, said: “Skills development is a massively important part of any business and this is especially true in online marketing where knowledge and expertise are what win and retain clients.

“Partnering with Andragogy gives us an advantage over our competitors by allowing us to provide our clients with transparency over training and levels of knowledge of the staff they work with. By providing staff with ongoing training and assessment plans and by working towards accredited digital marketing qualifications we are also improving staff retention and team morale.”
