CROWNED the overall winner, Maverick took first place in the prestigious SoCal 300 2019 race.
The race, which took place this weekend, has a long coastal route with differing and challenging conditions, from San Francisco down the California coast to San Diego.
Maverick, an infiniti 46R yacht, finished the race in just 26 hours 29 mins, thanks to its spectacularly-engineered DSS foiling technology.
Designed by DSS creator, Hugh Welbourn, Maverick’s unique, cutting-edge DSS system reduces heel angles, drag and enables dynamic lift for enhanced performance.
This is first boat of its size to combine this technology and the only 46-ft yacht to utilise twin foils.
Maverick’s foiling technology has been supported by the Department of Trade and Industry as part of the GREAT Britain campaign to show cutting-edge foiling technology, worldwide.
This world-class racing yacht is also heavily supported by Glasgow-based marketing agency, GRM.
Next for Team Maverick is the Transpac race in the competitive 15 boat Class-1.
