INSTEAD of enjoying a 45th birthday party for favourite Glasgow brasserie, La Bonne Auberge, on West Nile Street, the team there will spend Tuesday 14 July finalising plans for the restaurant’s long-awaited re-opening.
La Bonne Auberge will once again open its doors on Wednesday 15 July at 11am and promises its legion of fans the same high-quality, freshly ‘cooked to order’ dishes which have made the brasserie a multi award-winner over the years.
With social distancing and a string of other safety measures in place to ensure guests can return to enjoy a relaxing and uniquely enjoyable dining experience, La Bonne Auberge general manager, Marc Jones, admits the team can’t wait to re-open.
Says Marc: “We are so looking forward to welcoming our lunch and dinner guests back from Wednesday. Aside from a more limited number of tables and slightly pared-back menu*, initially, the guest experience will be just as great as before.
“Our back and front-of-house teams have undergone extensive training to ensure that every one of our ‘freshly prepared on the premises’ dishes will be served safely to tables by experienced staff.”
As for the planned 45th birthday celebrations, Marc notes: “Like many others, we’ll be spending our birthday in lockdown, but, again like many others, we’ll be having a huge celebration later in the year, when it’s safe to do so!”
