STV has promoted Danielle Kelly to the newly-created position of director of Strategy and Sales Scotland.

Effective immediately, Danielle now heads up STV’s dedicated team of specialists who deliver advertising solutions for clients across Scotland; as well as managing the STV Growth Fund, a £20m investment pot which enables SMEs to quickly reach more consumers through affordable and accessible advertising.

Prior to taking up this role, Danielle was director of Strategic Development, where she drove commercial partnerships and collaborated closely with clients to find the right commercial solution to deliver strong results.

Danielle has led the STV Growth Fund since its inception in 2018. The team has successfully secured 500 deals to date, with more than 200 clients new to television advertising as part of this hugely-successful initiative, aimed at supporting Scotland’s business community whilst driving Scotland’s economy.

Danielle has been with STV for 13 years. She is a member of the NABS Scotland committee and the STV steering group on Diversity & Inclusion.

Peter Reilly, STV’s Commercial director, said: “Danielle is a highly-valued member of the team who has been instrumental to the success of the STV Growth Fund and in driving strong partnerships with the wider business community. This is a well deserved promotion into an exciting new role, which I know she will approach with the same passion and skill she is well known for at STV and across the industry.”

Danielle Kelly said: “I am passionate about the power of great advertising in driving business growth because I have seen the very real, positive impacts a brilliant STV campaign can have for our Growth Fund members. Access to valuable marketing support is pivotal to Scottish businesses reaching their growth ambitions.

“In my new role, I very much look forward to collaborating with our clients and partners to help drive the Scottish economy together.”
