A GLASGOW make-up artist is in the running for a prestigious beauty award.

Helen Breen has been shortlisted in the make-up category at the Scottish Beauty Industry Awards 2021 – being hosted by Creative Oceanic. The awards, the third time they have been held, are back to celebrate the best professionals and businesses that operate in the country’s beauty industry.

The awards seek to present accolades to those who improve our confidence by making us look beautiful, deliver exceptional customer services and work within businesses, clinics and practices, where excellence is standard.

The winners will be announced at what promises to be an elegant ceremony taking place at The Marriott Hotel, Glasgow, on Sunday, October 10.

The event will gather many individuals from the beauty industry – from dentists and doctors to hair and beauty businesses, academies and clinics.

The awards are honoured by Creative Oceanic but voted for by the Scottish public who experience the joy of a good pampering, first hand.

The Scottish Beauty Industry Awards 2021 promise to be a memorable night dedicated to the country’s beauty industry that employs hundreds of people, enhancing the prosperity of the Scottish communities.

A wide-range of accolades are waiting to be presented to the deserving professionals and establishments, including Five-Star Beauty Salon, Dentist of the Year, Hair Loss Clinic of the Year, Make Up Salon of the Year, and many more.

Said Helen: “This is such an honour to be selected as a finalist for this amazing award. I am delighted to be in the top ten, and wish the best of luck to all the contestants.”

A spokesperson for The Scottish Beauty Industry Awards 2021, said: “The Covid-19 pandemic presented unique challenges for the hair and beauty industry, with many businesses being forced to close and various restrictions being in place. However, many businesses have successfully adapted to the new challenges the industry has faced since the pandemic started.

“In recognition of this, the awards will shine the spotlight on the talented professionals that have shown great passion, commitment and innovation for the beauty industry, who often don’t get the recognition they deserve.

“With fierce competition this year, we would like to wish to the finalists the best of luck and we can’t wait to welcome our guests and deliver another enjoyable event.”
