Media release: It’s monumental, this new iPhone app

THIS Fringe (2010) saw a group of eight photographers from Edinburgh present the first-ever exhibition the Scott Monument.

Begins a spokesperson: “Edinburgh 283’s Exhibition at the Scott Monument has now been taken to a wider international audience through an iPhone app that is FREE on the Apple App Store.

“Created by Edinburgh’s Bluemungus, the app features an interactive floor plan of the Scott Monument’s first floor level where you can click on each image location and view it in the app with options to zoom in, read about the piece and experience the exhibition in full…

“Being in the App Store has given the exhibition a potential extra audience of over 50 million and the app is receiving thousands of downloads already as well as being featured in the ‘New & Noteworthy’ section of the App Store.”

The project was supported by The City Edinburgh Council, Eastern Exhibition & Display and Bluemungus.
