EDINBURGH and Lothian-based Almondvale Windows, Conservatories and Kitchens has announced the launch of its new company blog which will feature noted chef and proprietor of Home Cuisine Ltd and Resipsa Events Ltd, Craig Ian McAlpine.

Tony Tester, MD of the Almondvale group, realised the increasing importance of embracing digital platforms and social networks to raise the brand’s awareness, engage with existing customers and increase the audience reached.

“We have made the decision to set up a blog and Almondvale group twitter account in response to current consumer behaviour.

“We want to engage with consumers and the wider online community through regular updates which will feature a blend of interesting, useful and entertaining articles.

“The blog is a way of illustrating exactly what Almondvale values, the environmental issues we are concerned with, our passion for cooking, home improvements and the personal interests we hold,” Tester explained.

Says a spokesperson: “Having carried out research of the most popular topics related to the company which are discussed online, the Almondvale group decided to launch the ‘Almondvale Cookery Club’ via the blog.

“The Almondvale Cookery Club will be hosted by Craig Ian McAlpine, known not only for running his own successful business, Home Cuisine Ltd, but also for his appearance on Channel 4 cooking programme, ‘Come Dine With Me’.

“The blog will feature regular video recipes, cooking tips and hints, while inviting its audience to become part of the club and share their own ideas, recipes and comments.”

Tester added: “All of us here at Almondvale love good, home-cooked meals. The Almondvale Cookery Club has been created to provide delicious family recipes by our star guest chef, Edinburgh-based Craig Ian McAlpine.

“The recipes will be a great addition to the blog, and we’ll all learn a few tasty recipes to try out in our own kitchens. We have such a close team here, and wanted to create the same close knit community among our valued customers through the Almondvale Cookery Club.

“We really want everyone to get involved.”

Craig Ian McAlpine is thrilled to be involved in the Almondvale Cookery Club feature.

Said McAlpine: “I am so excited to be involved in the Almondvale Cookery Club. I will be cooking scrumptious, affordable dishes for people to cook at home, while providing useful cooking tips along the way. I really want people to get involved in the club by sending in the photos of their dishes, and I’ll be there to answer any queries.

“I commend Tony and the Almondvale team for promoting home cooked, nutritional dishes and look forward to the future of the Almondvale Cookery Club.”

The Almondvale company blog will feature the Almondvale Cookery Club, entertaining and interesting company posts, together with useful industry updates and tips for successful home improvement and investment.
