Media release: Primark wows Perth

PRIMARK opens the doors of its new Perth store today. The store in St John’s Shopping Centre is eagerly awaited by the local community.

The Primark Perth store is the 207th store in the company and will create 104 jobs.

The 24,000 square foot (retail) store over two floors occupies a prime site on Perth’s High Street and within St John’s Shopping Centre and the design and layout builds on Primark’s latest format.

The store features Primark’s women’s, men’s and children’s fashion including footwear and accessories together with lingerie and homeware – the latest trends and must have items will be available in Primark Perth.

Paul Marchant, chief executive of Primark, said “The investment underlines Primark’s confidence in the area and its economy.”

In December 2010, a second Primark store in Gran Canaria will open in the Mirador shopping centre togetehr with one in Germany and one in the Netherlands. In addition, five further Primark stores will open before the end of 2010 in the UK.
