THE ROCCOs 2010 were a massive success – a sell out crowd of 470 guests, 11 awards and £14,000 raised for Renfrewshire charities with 50 per cent shared between Erskine and Loud’n’Proud
Chief executive, Bob Davidson, responsible for the entire event, said: “The Chamber worked harder than ever this year to make this our seventh ROCCO awards, the best yet.
“Raising double what we raised last year for Renfrewshire charities, the feedback we have had is fantastic.
“Fred MacAulay was great as our host and the kids from Loud’n’Proud blew everyone away – with some guests near to tears.
“The atmosphere this year was electric, everyone said the same – our main sponsor, John McGuire, MD and founder of the Phoenix Car Company made an inspirational speech.
“Our president, Tom Johnston, spoke passionately about how Renfrewshire really is a great place to do business with the profile of the Chamber higher than it’s ever been, emphasising that now is the time to work with your local Chamber.”
Commenting further on ROCCO 2010, Tom Johnston, Chamber president, said: “The success of the night, the comments received, the money made and the whole atmosphere prove that there is real business confidence in Renfrewshire. We have some great companies and great success stories right here, right now. Together, let’s build on that and make Renfrewshire in 2011 an even better place to do business.”
The Chamber Board and staff wishes to thank all the sponsors and the companies involved in making the event such a tremendous occasion and congratulate all the winners on their success.
