Media release: Argyll ladies in for a treat at Melfort Village charity pampering day

What: Melfort Village ladies day

When: Monday 29th November 2010, from 10am to 9pm. Wine and nibbles in the gift shop from 6pm.

Where: Melfort Village, Kilmelford, Argyll

TO celebrate the continuing success of its new beauty and well being room opened earlier this year, Melfort Village is to hold a ladies day on Monday 29th November where ladies can relax and enjoy complimentary health and beauty indulgences!

The event at Melfort Village, a hamlet of luxury self-catering holiday cottages in Kilmelford, will also raise money for the Cherish Fund Oban, a local charity whose aim is to buy a vehicle which can be customised to transport terminally-ill patients in comfort and dignity to wherever they need to go.

The charity is run by John and Jean Bowman who also run the Shower of Herring Restaurant at Melfort Village.

The full-day event will include complimentary health and mini beauty treatments, advice and demonstrations from Melfort Village’s beauty room experts.

Beauticians, Nicola Siddall and Trish Steele, will be on hand to give advice and offer complimentary beauty treatments including mini manicures.

Pre-booking for treatments is essential as spaces are limited.

Ladies can also enjoy full use of the swimming pool, gym and sauna at Melfort Village and browse the gift shop for beautiful jewellery and handbags.

There will also be the chance to enter the charity raffle to win a fantastic Heyland & Whittle Christmas Gift Box, containing cinnamon and gingerbread candle, soap and bath melts and reed diffuser and other goodies too.

The weekly charity coffee morning at the Shower of Herring Restaurant, where you can also purchase delicious home baked cakes, will still take place and costs £2 in aid of the charity.

A special ladies lunch is on offer at the restaurant with soup and sandwich for just £5.

Or, enjoy a rustic supper in the evening for just £12 for two courses.

The event is free but donations for the Cherish Fund and purchases of raffle tickets are encouraged.

For a list of treatments and appointment times or for more information please contact Melfort Village reception on admin@melfortvillage.co.uk, telephone 01852 200257 or visit www.melfortvillage.co.uk.  Christmas vouchers for treatments at Melfort Village are available to buy.
