Media release: Revolver Studios open for business, design, media, art and writing

REVOLVER Studios is a brand-new space in Glasgow’s thriving west end, aimed at young, high-growth companies, artists, writers, designers and creative professionals looking for flexible, affordable business premises.

Created by the team behind digital PR experts, Revolver, in January 2011, the studios have already welcomed their first resident.

Joanne Yeadon, textile designer for Centex Scarves, which works with global brands such as Hugo Boss, Gant, Mulberry and Esprit, has moved into a dedicated studio space.

The studios offer independent creators and young, high growth companies a dedicated and flexible environment in which to work, providing simple, basic business services, within Revolver’s dynamic Glasgow headquarters and a prestigious business address within the city’s creative quarter.

Iain S Bruce, co-founder and managing director of PR agency, Revolver, said: “The firm expanded rapidly over the course of 2010 and we more than doubled our floorspace to ensure the company has adequate space for further growth over the course of 2011.

“With some extra room set to be available for a planned period we decided to create Revolver Studios to cater for the numbers of young creatives, designers, writers and companies we’ve encountered who simply can’t find flexible office or studio space in central Glasgow.

“To fulfil an obvious market need and lend some nascent businesses a hand, we’ve created a collaborative, open source workspace which puts our excess space to good use and will, we hope, encourage and contribute to the next generation of creators and entrepreneurs in Scotland. We’re delighted to welcome Jo as the first resident of the new Revolver Studios.”

Joanne Yeadon, designer and sales manager for Centex Scarves, agrees: “It’s difficult to find a space in central Glasgow, which lends itself to design and creativity, which is also within reach of smaller businesses or individuals who don’t necessarily want to sign multi-year agreements, or pay through the nose for an empty, unserviced corporate office.

“The Revolver studios feels like it’s going to be an exciting place to work and I’m thrilled to have found such a unique and comfortable creative space.”
