TOP Scottish make-up artist Lynne Mills, the force behind EyeCandy Professional Make-Up in Scotland, has been nominated in the prestigious 2011 Professional Beauty Awards.

EyeCandy, an elite mobile business established in 2005, is one of the finalists in the ‘Make-Up Specialist of The Year’ category.

Regarded as among the most prestigious awards of the beauty, nails and spa industries, the PBAs recognise those who make a real difference to the industry and encourage professional development.

The PBAs are viewed as a sign of excellence, as those nominated have been judged by their peers to be at the top of their profession.

Lynne, who moved to Edinburgh ten years ago, said: “To be nominated for such a prestigious national award is a real honour and a testament to our hard work and dedication.

“It truly is fantastic that a national awards body is recognising the work we are doing in Scotland. It is a very exciting time for the company, as we are truly making our mark on the industry.”

Originally from Stirling, Lynne trained privately with top celebrity make-up artist Elaine Jones, who has worked on many famous faces.

She discovered her passion and talent for make-up whilst training to become an actress and took the decision to retrain at the School Of Make-Up in Manchester with Elaine. She then began working towards establishing her own business to offer clients a bespoke, high-end make-up service.

Lynne has since expanded the business to running a team of make-up artists that work for her throughout Scotland and the North of England for weddings, makeovers and fashion work.
