ABERDEEN-based AVC Media Enterprises has announced that it has been certified as an official partner of Cisco (formerly Tandberg), adding its range of TelePresence Video Conferencing products to the agency’s existing audiovisual technology portfolio.
The media and communications agency predict the partnership will generate a six-figure sum per annum.
Begins a spokesperson; “Competing in today’s global business environment can throw up a range of varied communication and collaboration challenges.
“These must be overcome efficiently and effectively to streamline business processes and minimise disruption.
“Colleagues, customers, partners and suppliers frequently need to be able to communicate, share information and respond rapidly regardless of their geographic location.
“Often, a phone call will not cater for the degree of interaction required between the relevant parties and face to face communication is necessary in order to create a more personal connection, as well as allow for multi-user interaction.”
The spokesperson adds: “Video conferencing technology can offer companies across all sectors a host of benefits. However, with a need to communicate globally, the energy sector in particular can achieve improved communication processes through the installation of video conferencing technology at key sites.”
George Carnegie, AVC director, explains: “In the past year we have seen a significant rise in the popularity of video conferencing solutions.
“Businesses are recognising the increased flexibility and convenience of this type of technology, as well as the significant savings they can make in terms of travel costs and staff time.
“By becoming a Cisco partner, we are now able to offer our customers a choice of solutions based on their budget and business objectives, and can follow the process through from planning to installation, training and after sales support, on and offshore.”
Cisco’s range of video conferencing solutions, create an ‘in-person’ experience between people, places and events, over an IP network.
This accelerates the decision making process, improves business links in the event of incidents and disruptions and helps to foster stronger business relationships, which all in turn increase a company’s competitive edge.
