A REPRESENTATIVE from Invergordon-headquartered industrial cleaning and environmental waste management specialist, the MSIS Group, is heading to Norway this week to attend one of the FPSO (Floating Production and Storage Offloading) vessel industry’s most prestigious conferences.
Gordon Bennett, the MSIS Group’s business development manager for Europe and Africa, will attend the 7th Annual FPSO International 2011 event, in Oslo, on Wednesday, March 9.
The conference, held in the city’s Felix Conference Centre, is considered one the industry’s most important annual gatherings with representatives of organisations from across the world attending.
This year’s conference will provide attendees with an insight into a host of FPSO-specific areas, including market drivers, industry trends, key players within the sector and funding and investment opportunities.
The MSIS Group will use the conference to attract and secure potential business opportunities, through consolidating existing – whilst forming new – client relationships.
Gordon commented: “FPSO International is an important event for the MSIS Group as it will provide us with opportunities to strengthen existing – and form fresh – relationships. With a packed programme of seminars and networking sessions, it will give us the chance to discuss the very latest industry developments.
“Whilst we already possess major experience in the cleaning of FPSO vessels, the event will also allow us to further enhance our knowledge of the industry, particularly within the Norwegian sector – a key target market for the MSIS Group.”
The MSIS Group – made up of MS Industrial Services and ITS Environmental Services – consists of three primary divisions, Onshore, Offshore, and Equipment Rental and Sales.
The forming of the group was engineered after the opportunity was identified to cross-sell the businesses’ specialist services to the customer base of the respective divisions, and position the overall group as leaders of industrial cleaning and environmental waste management services to the oil and gas, utilities, distilleries, construction and civil engineering sectors.
